Michael Maguire, Manager of Kezar Forestry, LLC, leads the firm with his thoughtful approach to managing forests in accordance with his clients' objectives. Michael's strengths and core values stem from his diversity of experiences and education in natural resources.

Throughout his career, Michael has worked for public, private, and non-profit sectors in a variety of natural resource positions across the United States and internationally. In Paraguay, he worked with rural farmers where he served as an Agroforestry Extensionist with the US Peace Corps. In Oregon, he led the development of several watershed assessments, designed to restore salmon habitat and enhance water quality, for the South Coast Watershed Council. For ten years, Michael worked as a Forester with the USDA Forest Service on the White Mountain National Forest. During this time, he completed the National Advanced Silvicultural Program, a two-year training program leading to certification as a Silviculturist.

Michael is a Certified Forester with the Society of American Foresters and is licensed to practice forestry in Maine (#3711) and New Hampshire (#474). He is a Technical Service Provider with the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service, a Stewardship Forester with the Maine Forest Service, and a Tree Farm Inspector with the American Tree Farm System. Michael holds a B.S. Degree in Resource Development from Michigan State University and a M.F. Degree in Forestry from the University of Maine.
