Forest Inventory & Valuation

One of the best ways to determine how to manage a forest is to begin with an understanding of what's in it. We conduct inventories to evaluate species composition, size, density, and volumes of trees that grow in your forest. We analyze the results and clearly communicate their significance to you. Inventories are necessary to determine important metrics such as a stand's basal area which is critical to evaluating silvicultural decisions.

Timber valuations inform us of the potential value to be realized prior to initiating a timber harvest and they allow us to better negotiate stumpage prices for our clients. Forest inventories and valuations are also necessary to establish the timber basis of a property. Our sampling methods are designed to meet the needs of our clients while meeting statistical standards set by third-party entities.
