Timber Harvest Administration

Timber harvesting is one of the primary means to implement a forest management plan. We see the felling and selling of trees as a cost-effective means to achieve clients' goals. While we always advocate for fair stumpage prices, we view the success of a harvest less by the forest products removed and more by the quality of the residual stand.

Kezar Forestry performs all aspects of administering a timber harvest including identifying landing locations, laying out skid trails, marking timber, preparing contracts, creating harvest plan maps, submitting required notifications, permits, and reports, negotiating stumpage prices or bidding timber with reputable contractors, scheduling work in accordance with site conditions, recommending appropriate harvest equipment, promoting best management practices, monitoring progress, and coordinating work with state and local agencies.
